ART CONCEPT
The concept of the “Hotel Goldener Stern and Stern Bar” combines art
and hospitality in a unique way, in collaboration with the platformsupportyourlocalartist.ch. The hotel provides supplies every six months
new artwork from local artists to create a dynamic
and create an inspiring environment.
Concept:
Selected artists each create three works, which are presented in the Stern Bar in A1 frames as well as in the 16 hotel rooms. These change every six months.
Purchasing art:
Guests can purchase an A3 version of the artworks, which are packaged in convenient packaging for transport in a suitcase.
Support Your Local Artist:
Originally created in response to the first COVID-19 lockdown, the platform offers a network to discover and promote artists from Switzerland. In addition to an online shop, the platform also organizes art markets, operates pop-up stores and art vending machines and also organizes workshops.

The artist: Petra Hilber
Profession: Graphic artist and illustrator who also works as a freelancer and, among other things, designs posters, creates new appearances and illustrates postcards.
Inspiration: Her works reflect everyday situations, plants and influences from analogue design books.
